While we all continue to adapt many parts of our lives in these challenging times, we urge you to utilize our highlighted resources Customer Portal, 24/7 AKC Pet Insurance Vet Helpline and AKC Pet Insurance blogs whenever possible, including contacting our Customer Care Team for policy questions and/or changes.
COVID-19: What pet parents need to know
Can my pet contract COVID-19?
At this time, it is believed that pets are not likely to contract COVID-19.
Can my pet transmit COVID-19?
Compared to the risk of human-to-human transmission, the risk of your pet transmitting COVID-19 to a human in your household is negligable. It is recommended that everyone who interacts with pets wash their hands before and after the interaction as knowledge about the disease evolves.
